Get It Write; A Script Development Workshop with Actors
Get it Write is WRiTEON’s regular workshop which gives you the chance to see your words brought to life by a team of experienced actors and directors. You’ll also get feedback and suggestions for further development of characters, plot, theme and other aspects of your play. The upcoming workshop will be held on:
Sunday 15th April
You’ll need to submit an extract from your play that is between 5 and 10 pages in length before Sunday 1st April. Your play will be given a time slot of one hour to be workshopped, but you’ll be welcome to stay as long as you like and take part in other writers’ sessions where comments on your writing might still be made and seeing other writers’ work on its feet will help you develop your own writing.
Here is some of the feedback we received from writers participating in the workshop previously:
“Incredibly useful to see my play actually performed…see what did and didn’t work on stage and where I needed to do things differently”
“Very constructive and a great experience seeing my words come to life. Inspired me to develop more ideas”
“My hour was stimulating, insightful and fun. The director’s insights into the play and his suggestions to improve it, as well as those of the cast, were extremely useful”
The fee for the workshop is £30 (£25 for WRiTEON members). If you’d like to book a space, or would simply like more information, please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org. Once you have reserved your place, you will be sent details of how to make your payment, which must be received by 8th April.
When submitting your piece, please complete the form below and insert it at the start of your script:
