How The Experts Do It

If you are writing (or hoping to write) something for our MaD (Monologues and Duologues) festival, you might like to come along to one or both of these informal readings of scripts by established professional writers, for inspiration.

Both will be held at 1 Belvoir Terrace, Trumpington Rd, Cambridge CB2 7AA (Andrew & Caroline Shepherd’s house, where the January 2014 Party took place). There will be a small charge of £3 (WRiTEON Members) or £4 (Non-Members). Cash on the night. All welcome. No booking required.

E-mail enquiries@writeon.org.uk with any queries.

Monologues: Wednesday 19th March 7pm

We will read aloud and discuss 3 or 4 monologues from the following published texts:

Talking Heads by Alan Bennett
A Woman Alone & Other Plays by Franca Rame and Dario Fo

If you have a copy of either (or are willing to invest in one) please bring it along.

Doulogues: Wednesday 26th March 7pm

We will read aloud and discuss extracts from the published two-handers cited in our guidelines as examples of pieces for two actors playing several characters each:

Two by Jim Cartwright
Stones in His Pockets by Marie Jones

If you have a copy of either (or are willing to invest in one) please bring it along.
