WRiTEON has recently lost its city council grant as a result of funding cuts. But we’re not taking it lying down! On Saturday 9 May we’re putting on a quiz to fund our support for new playwriting in and around Cambridge.
May 9 is Victory Day. Now, you may not be an outstanding Formula One driver or an unmatched swordsman/woman, but everyone needs a victory on Victory Day. So, come play with us as you can be a victor too – either by being on the winning team or by winning the smiles of local playwrights and not letting the Council’s funding cuts bring us down.
You’ll be having lots of fun too as this is a pub quiz with a difference. As well as the usual general knowledge and picture rounds we’re adding some surprise extras, including some theatrical entertainment in the interval. There will also be a prize raffle with some exciting prizes – yet another chance to win!
So, come and be a victor at the WRiTEON Quiz on Saturday 9 May at 7.30 pm at St. Augustine’s Church Hall, Richmond Road, Cambridge CB4 3PS.
The entry fee is only £12 per person and includes a ploughman’s supper (cheese, bread, nibbles etc.) and a glass of wine or soft drink. You can bring your friends and enter a team (up to six per team) or come on your own and we’ll find a team for you to join. Either way, victory is guaranteed!
